Aluminum Monument Signs
Monument signs fabricated from durable, weather resistant aluminum are the most common type of monument found today. Aluminum monuments can be both illuminated and non-illuminated. Illuminated signs can use either acrylic insert panels or routed letters and graphics to make your message stand out at night. Different textures, paint colors and shapes create an endless pallet of options. Often mounted onto a concrete pedestal or flush ground mounted, aluminum monument signs offer the greatest flexibility and versatility in the sign industry.
YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE
To maximize your exposure, day and night, illuminated aluminum monument signs fit the bill. Either single or double sided, depending upon the orientation of your signage to the street, monument signs can either be illuminated with fluorescent lamps or via LED. The most common type of illuminated monument sign uses a translucent white acrylic panel along with translucent vinyl graphics. The light source illuminates the acrylic panel and handsomely displays your lettering and logo. Another illumination option is the use of an opaque panel with the letters and logo routed out of the panel and backed with a translucent acrylic panel. The background is opaque and the letters are illuminated. This treatment is a bit more costly, but does offer a more professional look to the sign.
LIGHT IS OVERRATED?
Often times, there is no need to light your monument sign. If you are not in a retail environment or service industry, non-illuminated monument signs are more than adequate to satisfy your exterior signage needs. Non-lit aluminum monument signs can be customized in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. Different textures are available (i.e. smooth, stucco, etc.) and the decoration options are many and varied. If you don’t need it, don’t light.
